The Philosophical Research Society, Inc. (PRS) is an organization that promotes access to the world's wisdom literature, especially wisdom found in ancient traditions. PRS was founded by Manly P. Hall (March 18, 1901 - August 29, 1990) in Los Angeles, California in 1934.

Hall was a prolific writer and authored over 200 books, essays and magazine articles regarding religion, philosophy and the occult. He did most of his writing in a time when manual typewriters and fountain pens were used. Some of his most important books are:
