Metropolitan Community Church

The Christian Protestant religion of the Metropolitan Cummunity Church (MCC) has an estimated 49,000 followers. There are now almost 300 congregations in 22 countries.

MCC was founded in 1968 by Rev. Elder Troy Perry, a gay miister. MCC is the primary church and one of few church groups that specialize in servicing lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered (LGBT) persons.
