The Association for Research and Enlightenment, Inc. is a spiritual organization that helps sponsor "Search for God"
study groups with an estimated 4,200 to 14,000 followers or participants.
A.R.E. was founded by Edgar Cayce (1877-1945) in Virginia Beach, Virginia (U.S.A.) in 1931.
There are A.R.E. regional offices and Edgar Cayce centers located in approximately 80 countries.
The international headquarters of A.R.E. are still located in Virginia Beach.
Besides the "Search for God" study groups,
the current focus of A.R.E. is on holistic health and occult topics including extra-sensory perception (ESP), meditation,
dreams and reincarnation. A.R.E. also conducts conferences, educational activities and travel programs throughout the year.
For over forty years, Edgar Cayce gave many stunning psychic readings in which he always went into a trance.
One of his biographies was titled "The Sleeping Prophet".
Most impressive was Edgar Cayce's detailed diagnosis of his subjects' medical problems and suggested remedies or treatments.
During many of the medical readings, Cayce demonstrated the ability to (somehow) travel across the country
to examine his subjects, who he was giving readings for.
He also demonstrated the astounding ability to read akashic readings
(which are records of everything that has ever happened) at will.
His readings notably supported the existence of akashic records, Atlantis, auras, Jesus Christ and reincarnation.
In regards to Christianity, note that Edgar Cayce believed that the Holy Bible was doctored or edited
during the Early Church (or first few hundred years) after Jesus Christ.
The foundation scriptures the Association for Research and Enlightenment, Inc. include:
14,306 Edgar Cayce Readings that were witnessed and recorded. The original readings are in the custody
of the Edgar Cayce Foundation in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
